PROCURE21  
As a member of the Balfour Beatty team, Mansell is a Principal Supply Chain member for ProCure21 - the pre-approved procurement system designed to speed up construction delivery within the NHS.  

We’ve successfully completed ‘ProCure21’ projects to install linear accelerator machines at the Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals in London and at Brighton General Hospital where we were able to meet a very demanding timescale to create the MacKeith Centre.  

Our involvement has also now extended to Teddington Health and Social Care Center, Cromer Hospital Redevelopment and Cheshire and Wirral Mental Health schemes.  

We’re looking forward to further ProCure21 opportunities – especially with the introduction of the Minor Works option and its use to procure the latest new Community Hospitals.  

LIVE ENVIRONMENTS 
Patient comfort, hygiene and safety are at the top of everybody’s list while working in a live hospital or clinical environment.   

All the principles of considerate constructing come in to play to ensure that our construction activity has minimal impact on patients, staff and visitors.  And of course, vital medical routines and procedures must be able to continue unhindered.  

Our proactive approach includes liaising with the hospital teams to maintain clinical service. This might mean closing half a ward or facility while the other half is refurbished or working out of hours.   

Fitting airlocks and acoustic partitions are just some of the measures we employ to keep our work areas isolated and to control noise and dust. We understand the importance of ensuring our works do not compromise infection control.  

We aim to become part of the hospital community by helping with fundraising and sponsoring charitable events while we’re working there.
