Award-winning regeneration

Here at Mansell, we pride ourselves on our expertise in sensitive restoration projects.

A recent North East project was recognised for just this when the team received the Special Regeneration Award at the Lord Mayor of Newcastle’s Design Awards.

Work at the derelict Woods Pottery buildings in the Byker area involved extensive structural alterations to form new walls, together with new floors, roof, windows and doors. The building now houses state-of-the-art office accommodation.

The team’s hard work in liaising closely with the architect and conservationists to preserve and restore the building’s main features was commended when they received the award.
