Community Engagement

In conducting business activities we have the potential to impact positively on the neighbourhoods in which we work, not only by engaging with them but by offering skills training, career opportunities and support for community events.

Working in harmony with the communities in which we work is important to Mansell.

The key components of our community engagement strategy are:

  • Adopting the Considerate Constructors Scheme on our appropriate projects and benchmarking our performance to ensure continued excellence
  • Enhancing the economic prosperity of the communities in which we operate through the employment of local people and suppliers wherever appropriate
  • Sustaining communities by sharing expertise or knowledge, for example the Construction Taster Tents at schools and colleges.

We are also proud of our environmental record, which is significantly better than the industry average.

In our Centenary year, we have set a target of raising £1 million for a collection of local charities nominated by our regional business units.
