Mansell lands £1.6 million supported housing contract in Derwentside

Mansell has landed a £1.6 million contract to design and construct a supported housing unit and five general needs homes in Derwentside, Co. Durham for Four Housing Group.

The supported housing unit will comprise eight self-contained apartments, one wheelchair accessible apartment and communal facilities. Five new two-storey general needs houses will also be built on the same site. The supported housing unit will be built to achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, the general needs houses will attain Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Mansell has completed a number of projects for Four Housing Group including the construction of their head office building in Pity Me, Co. Durham.

The project will start on site next month and is anticipated to complete in summer 2011.
